I lost the perimenopause weight I’d been trying to shift for years in about five weeks.
But saying I lost it in five weeks leaves out the most important part.
It took me four years to get there.
Four years of trying harder.
Exercising more.
Eating “healthy”.
Experimenting with supplements, resets and the latest thing I thought might finally make the difference.
And eventually realising something I wish I had understood much earlier:
Losing weight and building a life that supports that weight loss are two completely different things.
The calorie deficit was the simple part.
Everything that made it possible to live with was the real work.
That is what this workshop is about.
In this workshop, we are going to talk about:
Why “I eat the same as I always have” may be exactly what needs looking at
Our bodies, lives, sleep, movement and needs change.
But many of us keep returning to the same habits and wondering why the result is different.
Why eating healthy and exercising more still might not shift the weight
Food quality matters. Exercise matters.
But neither automatically means your intake matches the body or goal you have now.
The mistake I made for years: treating weight loss like something temporary
Go on the diet. Lose the weight. Go back to normal.
Then wonder why you are doing it all again 12 months later.
We'll look at why what you return to matters more than what you can tolerate for a short time.
And the lesson that changed everything for me
The kilos came off in five weeks.
The habits that madethose five weeks possible to four years.
You do not need to take four years to learn what I did.
This workshop is for you if...
You eat reasonably well but the weight has crept on anyway.
You exercise, walk, do yoga or try to stay active and still feel frustrated with your body.
You have tried cutting sugar, fasting, eating cleaner, exercising harder or following the latest health advice.
You can be incredibly disciplined for a while.
Then life happens. And eventually you are back at:
“I’ll start again Monday.”
You are not looking for another extreme diet.
But you are also tired of pretending you do not care about the weight.
You want an honest conversation about what actually has to change if you want different results.
What I want you to leave with
By the end of the workshop, I want you to be able to look at your own situation and ask a better question than:
“What should I try next?”
Instead:
“What keeps bringing me back here?”
Because that answer tells you far more about what needs to change.

Hi, I'm Shahrean.
I’ve taught Yoga for almost 20 years and work with women around movement, Ayurveda and sustainable lifestyle change.
And I am also a 44-year-old woman who spent several years wondering why the things I had always done suddenly seemed to stop working.
I gained weight while teaching Yoga.
While exercising. While cooking most of my meals.
While knowing far too much about health.
That experience forced me to rethink what sustainable change actually looks like.
And eventually, I stopped asking how quickly I could lose the weight and started paying attention to the habits I would need long after it was gone.
That is the conversation I want to have with you in this workshop.
